Catherine Chabert

Céramiste de formation, issue de Vallauris,  elle  enseigne pendant de nombreuses années dans des ateliers toutes les techniques de la terre.  Catherine Chabert réalise des sculptures de terre en cuissons  faïence,  grès,  Raku  mais aborde  aussi d'autres techniques comme le bronze, le kintsugi, l'or céramique,  la peinture, la gravure, le Land Art, la photographie cyanotype, toujours dans une recherche insatiable de nouveautés.

Son univers reste très marqué par le féminin.

 

Trained as a ceramist, Catherine Chabert works with clay, but her experimentation goes through all sorts of techniques, from bronze, kintsugi, gold in ceramic firing, to painting with increasingly larger formats, LandArt ...         Her universe is very marked by the feminine.

 

Committed to the freedom of women, she defines herself as a mystical artist.

 

According to her, peace comes through a reconciliation between the feminine and the masculine in each of us.  She also believes that women have a great role to play in this work of Peace....
